📚 Description: Today we take a look at the first prototype design of what eventually became the Apex headcarve volute in 2017. This Les Paul Modern from the Custom Shop had a rather unsightly design on the back side of it's headstock. Whether you view it as someone flipping to bird or something fallic - it was clearly a good thing they refined it further from this stage. This guitar also has an interesting "wraparound" style intonatable bridge.

I'm sure the media would've had a heyday had this been released. The final apex headcarve is actually pretty cool - this design... not so much haha.
