'SUCH THINGS' (Composer: Jungee Marcelo) Reuben Laurente In 2011, I had the opportunity of recording the song, “SUCH THINGS” by my bro maestro Jungee Marcelo, for my album “MORE THAN JUST RENDITIONS”, produced by Musikatha Music Ministries. The song got its inspiration from Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.” As this verse is significant in my spiritual walk, this was also memorable to the composer of the song, as this was his inspiring line whenever he closes his show at “THIS IS MY STORY, THIS IS MY SONG” (Zoe/Light TV). Apparently, this is also my sis classmate – Angie Quadra Balibay’s closing line for “Good News Pilipinas Radio”.

So here’s my live take on “SUCH THINGS”, exactly nine years after.
