Pentagon Confirms Existence of $22m UFO Program, Releases Incident Videos The US Department of Defense confirmed to the New York Times the existence of a secret $22m program to investigate UFOs, according to a report published by the newspaper on December 16.

The program was launched in 2007 and funded until 2012 with the support of the then-Senate majority leader Harry Reid. The program was run by Luis Elizondo, who resigned from his post in October, citing concerns over excessive secrecy and internal opposition to the program in his resignation letter to Defense Secretary James Mattis, according to the New York Times report.

To The Stars Academy of Art and Science, a research organization founded in October 2017 by Elizondo to conduct research into “exotic science and technologies,” released footage of two incidents acquired from the DOD on December 16.
