Basically needed to "see what we have" with the Stihl ms310. It's not right in my most humble opinion. The aftermarket ms361 runs well..until it gets down around 1/4 tank and it starts getting sketchy with fuel starvation issues. Run pretty well until then I guess. The ms310 starts, runs , idle, etc. Just seems soft and sluggish. Runs like a saw with as air leak. SO hoping I can in parallel massage these saws into better running work saws...HTSS spec. The Aftermarket top end the 310 will get is 49mm bore vs. the 47 it has now. Also it will have a "pop up" piston to bump the compression hopefully into the 160-170 psi range. Should really help. BUT with new seals and the top end sealed properly to the bottom bearing cap or housing. maybe the better seal it all it needs.
