You got a decision from the VBA that said 'FAVORABLE FINDINGS' yet you were denied? Favorable findings are signs that you filed a good VA claim but it quite simply wasn’t good enough.

However, the result is something like this and this means that your VA claim was not good enough out of the gate but it does not mean that you cannot correct your errors!

How can you fix a bad VA claim and turn it into a good VA claim?
Get an Independent Medical Opinion (nexus letter) based on a review of your STRs or C-File, the 'magic words', and a valid rationale.
The rationale should also be based on your, your spouse's, family, friends, and co-worker statements that you did complain or show symptoms since you got out.
Your medical records (VA or non-VA) showing documented symptoms or diagnoses since discharge.
Now that your VA claim has been denied, you now reopen the claim with a VBA Form 20-0995 with your new and relevant evidence. Or, file for a full Board appeal using a VA Form 10182.
