IN this video, I explain that it's the One All-pervasive Consciousness that becomes the world and that same Consciousness appears as the ego in you. It happens through some inexplicable Cosmic illusion called Maya. The ego in you takes itself as the separate entity, considers itself as completely separate from everyone and everything, but the truth is that the ego in you is that same Divine Consciousness which just appears as that in you. Just as the ocean appears as the wave, as the bubble, as the surf, similarly the one consciousness becomes, as it were, the ego in each one of us. Question may arise as to how does this really happen, how does the Infinite becomes the finite? As I already said that the Infinite doesn't really becomes the finite, it just appears as the finite, and this appearance happens because of the ignorance. Just as the ignorance of the rope can produce the illusion of a snake in it in the darkness, similarly, in the darkness of ignorance, the rope of Consciousness is appearing as the snake of ego.
