Why All Dive Professionals Should Learn About Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Theory (Part 1). Welcome to Deefer Diving's new YouTube channel, D for Diving.

How many dive professionals have been on a dive where you 'accidentally' went beyond your no-decompression limit? Or where you've been diving and come very very close to your NDL? I'm guessing its quite a few. Now how many of these industry professionals know anything about decompression theory, advanced nitrox or how to properly use your dive computers? I'm guessing this number is quite a bit lower.

Isn't it strange that so many professionals in our industry do not know the first thing about the procedures for managing a short amount of deco, but live in fear of the NDL. Here, in Part 1 of our 2-part video series, Jon and Nora have a discussion about 'Techreational' diving, and why every dive pro should know this.

What are your thoughts? Should this theory be incorporated into all dive professional training? Leave your comments in the section below
