Curiosity Rover made 27 holes in Mars’ soil to find water and signs of life

Curiosity Rover made 27 holes in Mars’ soil to find water and signs of life On March 12, 2021 NASA’s Curiosity Rover send series of new Mars images of soil drilling at Gale Crater to find water/life signs. There are 27 holes in Mars’ soil and rocks with different structure and composition. All images are included in video. These 27 holes represent each of the rock samples NASA's Curiosity Mars rover has collected as of early July 2020. A map in the upper left shows where the holes were drilled along the rover's route, along with where it scooped six samples of soil. The data collected by the drill telling it how to operate in specific soil conditions can also inform where to look for life. At such depths do the soils get harder or softer, drier or wetter? Depending on how easily the drill can move through the soil, we can find out.
